Treatment of asthma is most effective when you understand your condition and play an active role in the management of it. AllOne Health offers the Asthma Management Program for those ages 2 years and older.

Program materials that help you achieve good levels of control include education on:

• Understanding what asthma is and what it does
• Knowing the names, the purpose, the frequency and the side effects of medication
• Understanding the usage of a peak flow meter, inhalers and an asthma action plan
• Knowing your triggers
• Keeping regularly scheduled appointments with your doctors to discuss concerns about asthma or its treatment
• Knowing when to call your doctor for advice

One of our Asthma Program Health Coaches will be there for support and encouragement and will work with you and your doctor to achieve the best possible care plan for managing your asthma.
